Winnipeg Advisory Board Welcomes New Member

With over 45 years of expertise in financial planning, sales management and employee development, Rita Burgess is a seasoned management expert. She is known for her leadership excellence, strong customer service skills, and a distinguished career at Scotiabank in Winnipeg and Calgary. Rita currently serves with the Endeavour Group.

A proud Winnipegger with a deep appreciation for her city and province, Rita’s professional experience was further enriched by spending seven years in Calgary. Her passion for community engagement drives her ongoing commitment to volunteering, and she has contributed her time and talents to numerous causes.

Rita’s volunteer efforts include six years on the Friends of the Winnipeg Library Board, where she served as president from 2020 to 2024. She also spent five years on the Winnipeg Public Library Board, including two years as chair. She has supported various organizations, including The Salvation Army (notably the Toy Mountain campaign in Winnipeg), the United Way in Winnipeg and Calgary, The Dream Factory, and Special Olympics. Additionally, she is a proud YWG Goldwing’s Ambassador at Winnipeg’s Richardson International Airport.

Rita’s dedication to making a positive impact in the community is evident in her work and volunteer endeavours. She is excited to bring her leadership, experience and passion for service to the Winnipeg Advisory Board in the Prairies and Northern Territories Division.
