Ukraine Response Update: Your Gifts at Work

Since the beginning of the Ukraine crisis, people across Canada have given generously to The Salvation Army to help those deeply impacted in Ukraine and surrounding countries.

In Poland, your gifts provided Ukrainian refugees with food, hygiene kits, vouchers for emergency aid, warm clothing and transportation services for more than 2,000 families. And in Lithuania, you helped provide more than 300 displaced families with supermarket vouchers, food and kitchen items, hygiene products, bedding and school supplies.

Your support also helped purchase four vehicles in Ukraine itself, enabling The Salvation Army to reach more people at their point of need.

“In the midst of crisis, Salvation Army first responders are working tirelessly to provide aid to those impacted by the conflict,” says Lt-Colonel Brenda Murray, director of international development. “Resiliency is rooted in community, and we will continue to support the international Salvation Army as it reaches out in love to all affected individuals.”
