Description
The purpose of this position is to support the Nursing Manager in the comprehensive oversight and strategic management of the nursing department, ensuring that high standards of resident care, quality, and safety are consistently maintained.
This role is essential in aligning the nursing department’s operations at Agapé Hospice – spanning cost management, staff supervision, resource coordination, health and safety – with TSA’s and Agapé Hospice’s objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties including the following: Resident Care Services, Team Management, and Nursing Administration duties and responsibilities. (position description available upon request)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor Degree in a related field
Bachelors of Nursing or equivalent is preferred;
Baccalaureate degree in nursing with an emphasis in palliative care an asset;
CHPCN Certification preferred; Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA); Current Standard First Aid and CPR level C.
PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience including supervisory/team lead/management experience is required;
Previous experience in a hospice/palliative care setting essential.
