Kettle Coordinator
Description
To coordinate the Christmas Kettle Campaign, building on and strengthening community partnerships during our annual fundraising
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with a small team, coordinating all aspects of the Christmas kettle fundraising campaign
- Promotes the campaign through community presence, social media, phone calls, etc.
- Strengthens relationships with management and leadership at all kettle locations and is responsible to act as a liaison, providing supports as needed
- Deliver and pick up kettles from kettle locations daily, ensuring the security of donations
- Recruits, trains, and schedules and supports kettle workers and volunteers
- Keep accurate records of volunteer information, shifts/locations, etc.
- Ensures all kettles and supplies are maintained at all locations, always.
- Works with a list of volunteers, clubs, churches, and businesses to assist in filling volunteer positions, and respond to emergency absences, etc.
- May give oversite of daily counting
- Supports other aspects of Christmas programming if needed (ie. Food and toy program)
- Ensures donors, volunteers, workers and all partnerships are thanked, and invitations are given to appreciation events
- Post campaign:
- retrieve all equipment/supplies from various kettle locations.
- debrief current campaign.
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certifications:
- Grade 12 diploma
- Post-secondary experience may be an asset
Experience:
- Previous fundraising and supervisory experience,
- Experience working and leading volunteers will be an asset
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High standards of integrity, judgment and confidentiality
- Strong decision-making, organizational skills and a strong team player
- General office skills and experience, familiar in using various office equipment
- Proficiency on various computer programs; Microsoft Word, Excel, Database
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and targets
- Agreeable to a flexible non-routine schedule and willing to use a personal vehicle for business purposes
HOURS:
Nov. 2024 – Mid January, 2025. Flexibility with work hours/schedule is expected, work will require work on evenings and weekends
Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:
- Background check consent.
- A clear vulnerable sector screening.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract.
- Completion of our online Armatus Abuse Training and required Health and Safety training.
