Description

The Christmas Kettle Scheduler plays a key role in the success of this annual fundraiser through the scheduling of volunteers.

HOURS:

  • Temporary Part Time: 21 hours work per week until November 4, 40 hours work per week until the contract ends (schedule to be determined after hiring)
  • Schedules will fluctuate and flexibility will be required
  • October 21, 2024 – December 24, 2024

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May assist in the recruitment of Kettle Workers (volunteers), assisting with orientation
  • Help coordinate the schedule for kettle staff & volunteers, and responds to emergency absences, etc.
  • Make phone calls to recruit, retain and schedule volunteers
  • Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with kettle sites
  • May Deliver and pick-up kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donations
  • May Host at the kettle, as required, to ensure necessary coverage for breaks, etc.
  • Record statistical data as required, for local/divisional/territorial offices
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Certifications:

  • No Education of Certification requirements required

Experience:

  • The successful candidate must have at least one-year prior related experience, including life skills, computer competency, and leadership skills

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • The Successful candidate must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs and the ability to follow instructions.

PREFERRED SKILLS/CAPABILITIES:

  • The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and strong people skills

Successful candidates, prior to hiring, may be required to provide:

  • Background check consent
  • A clear Criminal Record Check
  • A clear vulnerable sector screening
  • Full Class 5 BC Driver’s License
  • A clean drivers abstract
