How You’re Giving Richard and Education – And a Future

In many countries of the Global South, including Zambia, children and youth are required to wear uniforms in order to attend school. Many families, however, are unable to afford uniforms for their kids. Richard’s family was one of them. Without help, Richard, a Zambian youth who dreams of becoming a doctor one day, would be unable to get an education. Thankfully, caring friends like you stepped in to provide him with a new uniform, school supplies, and all his tuition fees. He now attends one of the highest-ranked schools in Zambia.

More than that, your gifts helped provide Richard’s family with two goats, which will support the family immediately with milk, food, and income for the future. “Richard’s uniform package arrived at a time when his family had no money left,” says Major Heather Matondo, who recently visited Richard and his family.
