A fundraiser at Newmarket, Richmond Hill, and Markham Thrift stores is giving even more children the opportunity to enjoy camp this summer.
Being thrifty not only keeps money in your pocket, it could help send a child to camp. Local Salvation Army Thrift Stores want you to help a child experience fun, freedom and excitement at camp they otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend this summer.
“The sad reality is that many parents in communities across the country simply cannot afford the luxury of sending their children to camp for a week,” Salvation Army national recycling operation managing director John Kershaw said.
