The sounds of the season are in the air with our annual tradition and holiday favorite, the Beary Merry Christmas Concert series.

This spectacular event features the Stadacona Band of the Royal Canadian Navy, the Cantatrice Ensemble girls’ choir, along with the talented and funny, CTV’s Liz Rigney as emcee. Combined, these talented individuals offer engaging entertainment, spreading Christmas joy and cheer.

“This year’s Beary Merry Christmas Concert in Halifax was extra special; it not only got attendees into the Christmas spirit, but toys were collected for underserved children, and the event raised awareness of The Salvation Army’s work,” said Captain Jamie Locke. “We are grateful to all of our guests who continue to attend this great event year after year, and also for our emcee, the band and the choir who all create an extraordinary concert.”

The Halifax Beary Merry event raises over $3,000 and collects over 3,500 toys for marginalized children at Christmas. Thanks to the support of the band, our communities and donors, The Salvation Army is able to help make Christmas much brighter for many. Donations can also be made online via salvationarmy.ca/donate
