Back to School 2017
On Thursday August 31 2017, The Salvation Army and the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes are partnering together to collect school supplies for underprivileged children.
With 1 out 7 quebecers living in poverty, the expense of returning to school puts a lot of stress on families.
Children from low-income families often have fear about going to school and fitting in. Our program ensures they start school no different than anyone else. It boosts self-esteem and every child has equal opportunity to succeed once inside the school walls.
The backpacks are filled with supplies such as geometry sets, calculators, rulers, exercise books, highlighters, pens and pencils.
Come support us by bringing school supplies to the Alouettes game on August 31, 2017, or drop them off at any Salvation Army thrift store.
