Scotian Glen Camp played host to an energetic group of 55+ campers from September 11th, through 13th for three days filled with speakers, devotions and entertainment.

Over fifty participants were greeted to the scenic Scotian Glen Camp by gorgeous weather and a key note speech delivered by Majors Wilbert and Bertha Abbott, with the topic being: “Down on the Farm: Growing God’s Way”.

The camp was put on by Major Winnie Perrin, Divisional Secretary for Adult Ministries, although she was quick to point to others for the camp’s success. “We had a really great group to work with, and with the numbers that we had, we were able to connect with people on a personal level.” said Major Perrin.

Offering a camp to an older demographic can offer unique challenges, that the camp staff was more than equipped to handle. Transportation was offered to campers so they could easily travel to and from their accommodations to the Dining and Main Halls. “Scotian Glen Camp is a beautiful setting to have a camp and the staff is just wonderful. They worked hard to meet the needs of all of our campers.” added Major Perrin.
