Terry Rielly, the “Teddy Bear Man”

The 35th Annual Teddy Bears Picnic is scheduled for Saturday August 25th from 11-1 at Bannerman Park in St. John’s. The Teddy Bears Picnic is free, and The Salvation Army Community and Family Services will be there serving refreshments and collecting non-perishable food items for the Food Bank. The ‘Teddy Bear Man’ Terry Rielly began this family tradition in 1977 after the birth of his daughter Skye. Since then three generations of Newfoundlanders have been enjoying the concert which also features the traditional Teddy Bear Hospital and face painting.
