With still over three months to go before the 2012 Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast in Halifax, tickets for the inaugural event are going fast. The event, which will feature former Olympian Catriona Le May Doan as the keynote speaker, is currently 70 per cent sold out.

Set to be held at the Westin Nova Scotian, the Hope in the City Leadership Breakfast will bring together over 200 prominent business people and community leaders from around the region for a morning of networking, entertainment and education, all in support of the work that The Salvation Army is doing right here in the Maritimes.

Keynote speaker Catriona Le May Doan is a two-time gold medalist in speedskating, winning the 500-metre competition in the 1998 and 2002 Winter Games. She is the only Canadian athlete to defend an Olympic gold medal in any discipline, and still holds the Olympic record in the 500 metres. In August, Catriona will head to London as a member of the CTV broadcast team for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, England.

Tickets for the event cost $50. Download an order form HERE, or visit the event webpage for more information.
