Hockey fans Donate Toys for The Salvation Army

It was a chilly night but “Furry Friends” came to the rescue at a recent Hockey game in the City of Mount Pearl.

Hockey fans from all over came out to help The Salvation Army raise much needed toys for the 2010 Christmas Hamper Program.

“With Hamper applications numbering over 1,200, the need is great this year and is continuing to increase.” stated Major Donette Percy, Director of Community & Family Services in the city of St. John’s. “These types of partnerships are very much needed in this day and age.”
