Memorial Seahawks Raise Toys for The Salvation Army

November 27-28, 2010…During a weekend matchup , The Memorial University Seahawks Men’s and Ladies Basketball teams shot hoops and Raised Toys for The Salvation Army.

The Memorial University Seahawks Men’s and Ladies basketball teams played against other teams through out the weekend and helped raise Toys for The Salvation Army’s Toy Hamper Program within the City of St. John’s.

Major Donette Percy, Director of Community & Family Services for St. John’s stated, “With the need ever increasing, the partnership between The Salvation Army, Memorial University Campus Enforcement and The Seahawks goes a long way to ensure that there are many more smiles on Christmas Morning.”
