The Community Church in Québec offers tailored spiritual resources and services. Its purpose is to meet the spiritual needs of its members, the community, and to promote the message of Jesus Christ.

Community and Family Services

Food and material aid

Family services provides families living through difficult times with practical help such as and basic necessities.

Every week, in Québec City, hundreds of families receive food aid and emergency clothing. These families cannot return more than once a month for a maximum of 6 times a year. The food bank should not be a habit, but rather a help service.

Coats, mattresses, and school supplies for children are collected each year and distributed to people in need.

Emergency services and disaster relief services

The Salvation Army is emergency and disaster relief services offers disaster victims support and emergency material assistance: food baskets, furniture, clothing and more.

Christmas Hampers

For many families in Quebec, the holiday season is particularly difficult. That’s why The Salvation Army annually distributes nearly 500 Christmas Hampers.

Every year, the employees of our housing centers organize a Christmas supper for the homeless in Quebec. Approximately 200 people eat a hot meal, sing and receive gifts.   

Summer Camp Lac de l’Achigan

Every year, The Salvation Army gives numerous children the opportunity to live a dream week at our Camp Lac de l’Achigan. The children can enjoy many activities: canoe and pedal boat rides, crafts, campfires, obstacle courses and more.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store was built to ease your shopping. You will find a wide range of products that will please and satisfy you and your loved ones: shoes, clothes, fashion accessories, books, toys, antiques, household appliances and more.

The Salvation Army participates in a recycling program for certain materials (foam, metal, etc.), that helps decrease the amount of waste produced in the country. Funds raised are used to finance a large part of the services offered by The Salvation Army in Quebec.
