This difficult decision follows careful consideration and review of the organization\u2019s services and resource allocation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are deeply grateful to the many supporters, volunteers and dedicated staff who have been part of our journey in&nbsp;Kenora,\u201d says&nbsp;Stuart Walter, Community Ministries Director. \u201cThe Salvation Army has proudly serviced the community by offering quality used clothing and household items at affordable prices for local families and individuals to support sustainable shopping practices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Donations will no longer be accepted after&nbsp;March 2, 2026. Emergency clothing will still be available through the Salvation Army Community Ministries at 104 Matheson Street South.&nbsp;For further updates, please follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TSAKenora\">The Salvation Army Kenora on Facebook<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Salvation Army remains committed to delivering essential community programs. This includes expanding food bank hours, offering the Alpha program and the potential to develop more transformational programming in the future. With demand for these services at an all-time high, the organization continues to expand and adapt its support to meet the needs of the&nbsp;Kenora&nbsp;community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In 2025,&nbsp;2,098&nbsp;visits were made to The Salvation Army in Kenora for food. Demand for food assistance has steadily increased by 10% in each of the two previous years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, 200 hampers 4000 toys and 3,000 lbs of food were distributed at Christmas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Salvation Army regularly assesses its operations in each community to ensure long-term sustainability.
