The Salvation Army’s HOPE IN THE CITY comes to Regina, SK

    Hope in the City is one of The Salvation Army’s signature fundraising and awareness events. The event welcomes upwards of 400 guests including esteemed donors, volunteers, politicians, religious leaders, business owners and influential community members. The event is held annually in numerous cities across Canada.

    This year marked the inaugural dinner for HOPE IN THE CITY Regina. The evening of May 29th was a celebration of lives changed through The Salvation Army community, family and social services in Regina. The event was held at Conexus Arts Centre and hosted by CTV’s Morning Live Co-Host/Anchor, Brit Dort.

    Guest speaker, Meagan Jasper, shared her personal story about her experience at Kate’s Place and her transformational life journey thanks to The Salvation Army. Attendees also heard from Hon. Mark Docherty, MLA Regina Coronation Park, Major Shawn Critch, Major Bruce McKenzie and Major Mike Hoeft. Musical entertainment was provided by Big Sky Brass.

    The Salvation Army appreciates the generous, ongoing support and partnerships with various
    stakeholders that continue to provide basic needs, shelters, rehabilitation and disaster services to
    children, women, men and families in Regina.  We welcome everyone to please join us next year and continue to help us bring hope.
