The Salvation Army’s Prairie Division is extremely pleased to report another successful and enjoyable holiday season in 2017.

In a year that saw donations lower than normal across many local and national charities, The Salvation Army in Winnipeg held steady in its Christmas Kettle campaign, raising a total of $360,000, which matches the total raised in 2016.

The organization’s annual Toy Mountain campaign saw a massive increase in support and donations in 2017, bringing in a total of 26,000 toys, which compares to 19,000 in 2016. The Toy Mountain event at CF Polo Park Shopping Centre over December 2 and 3 also brought in more than $10,000 in cash donations.

The Salvation Army’s Prairie Division extends its heartfelt appreciation and thanks to everyone who supported the organization in one way or another in 2017, and is looking forward to even bigger and better things in the new year. Registration is already open for the 13th annual Salvation Army Golf Classic golf tournament, and information about other 2018 events will be posted on our Events Page throughout the year.
