Regina, SK – The Salvation Army in Estevan is now receiving donations of furniture and appliances for those who were affected by the flooding this spring. A warehouse has been leased for three months. Major Len Millar of the Estevan Salvation Army says he is thrilled about this development. “We finally have a building that can store donations. It allows us to provide an area where the families can actually see what is donated, and select the items needed”. Families will select items at no cost to themselves.

The warehouse, the old Acklands-Grainger building, is being leased at a nominal fee from Acklands-Grainger. It is located behind the current Salvation Army Thrift Store. The Thrift Store continues to provide ‘every-day’ items to those individuals and families who were displaced by the flooding, including clothing, bedding, dishes, books, toys and miscellaneous items that are required to bring back a little normality to their lives. These items continue to be provided at no cost to those who are receiving them.

Should you wish to donate new or used furniture and appliances to the flood victims of Estevan and area please arrange to do so by contacting The Salvation Army in Estevan at 306-634-2074.
