The Salvation Army Centre of Hope Community Teaching Garden opened today with blessings, volunteers and community partners. Designed by Arthur Lierman Landscape Architecture, the Community Teaching Garden will serve Community and Family Services food bank customers as well as providing teaching opportunities for their Healthy Homes Program participants. A dedicated volunteer team has been working in the garden, planting, watering and weeding on a daily basis. The pollinator gardens, vegetable and herb gardens and Saskatoon Berry trees were made possible, in part, by generous donations from Heeman’s, Friends of the London Civic Garden Complex, Try Recycling, D J Paton Brothers, Downtown London and Arthur Lierman Landscape Architecture.  We’re excited to get growing!
