On Saturday, April 4th Westmount Shopping Centre in London hosted the 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt with the London Majors.  For this year’s event, The Salvation Army was also invited to participate.  Those in attendance were invited to visit stations around the mall to meet players from the London Majors Baseball Team, who also handed out Easter treats, signed autographs and took pictures with the kids.  The Easter Bunny and Sally Ann also roamed the mall engaging with the families who had gathered.

Volunteers offered face painting for a donation, with proceeds being given to The Salvation Army London Village.  A collection bin was also available as participants were encouraged to bring in donations of non-perishable food items for The Salvation Army’s food bank in London.

The Salvation Army was promoting and selling tickets for “Salvation Army Day” at the London Majors Game, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, June 5.  Tickets are available at Salvation Army locations in London at a cost of $8.00 per ticket, with 50% being donated to The Salvation Army.

“The Salvation Army is very grateful for this opportunity to partner with Westmount Shopping Centre and the London Majors along with sponsors Classic Rock Free 98-1 and Preferred Insurance”, says Perron Goodyear, Public Relations & Development Representative for The Salvation Army.
