UWO Students Offering Support makes donation

Students at the University of Western Ontario donated cash and food items on Friday January 28 to the Centre of Hope in London.

The donation, amounting to $830 in cash and a dozen boxes of non-perishable items, was the result of a series of lectures organized by the local chapter of Students Offering Support.

President of the chapter Moey Abid organized the Last Lecture Series, with an event taking place in each of November, December and January. Students attending were asked to bring either a toonie or non-perishable food item as admission. Many of the almost 1500 students who attended brought more than the minimum.

The Centre of Hope gratefully thanks SOS for their efforts and the students who attended for their generosity.
