Hope in the City, the official kick-off to The Salvation Army’s Christmas fundraising season raises funds to support critical programs and services in our community and beyond.  It brings together local business leaders, donors, friends, political decision-makers, and influential community members to celebrate the achievements of the past year and highlights the impacts made possible with the help and compassion of our donors and partners in the Ottawa area.

Jay Barnard Speaking At A Salvation EventJoin us for lunch Wednesday, November 21, at 11:30 a.m. at the Shaw Centre, as we kick off an important season of raising funds in support for critical programs and services in our community.  Special guest speaker, Jay Barnard, will share his story of hope and recovery with the help of The Salvation Army.  Jay, who ten years ago suffered from serious addictions is now a successful Executive Chef running his own company, Chef Recovery Catering and has launched a food line called Freshwater Cuisine.
