As the city of Toronto and the province of Ontario moves into the next stage of re-opening, keeping safe and healthy is still the number one priority.

Today,  The Salvation Army assisted in upholding the new normal by handing out PPE kits at the TTC’s Spadina station in Toronto.

Each kit was carefully packaged and contained 1 each of the following: pair of gloves, disposable face-mask and hand sanitizing wipe.

“The Salvation Army is concerned about the health and well-being of the marginalized in Toronto,” said Major Rob Kerr. “We realize that not everyone can afford or has access to basic personal protective equipment, and we want to get these things into the hands of as many people as possible.”

Masks are now required in order to ride the TTC and will soon be mandatory in all indoor spaces in Toronto.  The kits handed out today provided a small gift of hope and a simple gesture to assist with the transition to the new requirements.
