Rise and shine! Bright and early this morning, the Ontario Central East Division officially launched their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign with Jeff Robertson, spokesperson for The Salvation Army alongside Roger Peterson and Winston Sih from Breakfast Television.

Poverty is hiding in Canada. For many, it hides in the shadows of unaffordable rents, working multiple jobs to make ends meet, and skipping meals in order to pay bills. When you donate to a Christmas Kettle, you are helping The Salvation Army bring an end to poverty.

With our $3 million campaign goal this year, we need your help more than ever. “In Canada, 1 in 7 people live in poverty,” says Delicia Carvery, Christmas Kettle Coordinator. “Funds raised through The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettles are critical to providing programs and services for vulnerable individuals and families in our communities who are struggling each and every day”.
