On Thursday, March 8th, The Salvation Army Ontario Central East Division hosted their annual Toy Mountain Appreciation and Awards dinner at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham, Ontario. Emceed by Tom Brown, Weather Anchor of CTV News Toronto, this night was filled with laughter and excitement. As the sounds of melody filled the event space, guests were greeted at the door, where they were guided to the Toy Mountain red carpet for photos and later escorted to their table.

As a token of The Salvation Army’s appreciation, awards were presented to individuals and organizations who truly demonstrated the spirit of Toy Mountain. Below are the recipients of this year’s awards:

Community Partner Award
Jing Yin Temple
Downtown Markham
Toronto Transit Commission

Corporate Partner Award
Toronto Area Ford Dealers
Best Buy
Marshalls

Hope Partnership Award
Rotary Club of Agincourt
First Book Canada
Ikea

Friendship Award
Tom Brown
Sarah Virro

This night was incredibly special as it celebrated and recognized our many Toy Mountain sponsors and supporters. It is only because of extraordinary people like them that Toy Mountain is able to carry on year after year and continue to spread joy and hope to families across the Greater Toronto Area. Whether supporters sponsored, volunteered, donated toys, or even hosted toy drives, The Salvation Army and CTV team are incredibly grateful for the continued support. Last but not least, a very special thank you to the CTV team as, without them, this campaign would not be possible.
