\u00a0<\/strong>At The Salvation Army\u2019s Broadview Village location in East York, an onsite Wellness Quarters gives Village residents a space to focus on their spiritual, mental and physical health. The Wellness Quarters is complete, thanks to $37,000 in funding from a Salvation Army, Canada and Bermuda Territory Innovation Grant.<\/p>\n The Wellness Quarters is a private space designed to nurture spiritual contemplation and to encourage active living and healthy lifestyle choices for residents at Broadview Village.<\/p>\n \u201cThis space is designed for quiet reflection or meditation, as well as one-on-one conversations and physical exercise, that is separate from the day to day living space,\u201d says Broadview Village Executive Director Art Mathews. \u201cIt’s going to be a resource that’s available for 50 people and will assist clients in furthering their independence goals and build skills to help them along their journey.\u201d<\/p>\n Construction on the space wrapped up in early March and a grand opening ceremony is planned once equipment and furniture is in place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Over the last two years, the pandemic has impacted everyone\u2019s overall health, both mental and physical.
