Wow! What a wonderful day at Yonge and Dundas Square. On, Friday, November 24th, The Salvation Army’s Ontario Central East Division celebrated the start of the Christmas season with an outdoor concert and officially kicked-off the 23rd annual CTV Toy Mountain Campaign.

Team T&J opened up the evening with a blast of energy helping audience members to get on their feet to dance and sing to the sounds of the season. Following their act, the Cameron Family Timbrels lit up the stage with their festive routine. Other performers included Against the Grain Musical Theatre, Latin Energy, The Salvation Army’s Ontario Central East Divisional Youth Band and Youth Chorus, and a special monologue by Alyiah with a Charlie Brown Christmas.

Salvation Army mascots, Sally Ann, Bram, Shieldy along with Snap, Crackle, Pop and Masha and the Bear also made an appearance and joined in on the festivities of the night.

As the CTV and Salvation Army team officially kicked-off the start of the Toy Mountain campaign, children and families helped fill the Toy Mountain truck with toys for children in need, helping us reach our 150,000 Toy Mountain goal.
