Bikers Ride in support of London Christmas Hamper Program
August 20, 2016
The Home Depot in east London was the site on Saturday August 20 for the 33rd annual London Toy Ride.
As many as 170 toys were collected that bikers brought in as part of their registration process. The toys were loaded up into Salvation Army vans and taken for storage at the Community and Family Services building until they will be used for the annual Christmas Hamper program.
Stephen spoke to the group of 200 bikers and riders about what it means to support The Salvation Army through this event. During the event kickoff, several community partners were recognized by their ongoing contribution and support of the event, including host location Home Depot and the London Police and Fire Departments.
As well, money from registration and other ongoing fundraising events by Stephen and Diana will be used to purchase more toys later in the season that go towards putting smiles on children’s faces on Christmas Day.
