On World Alzheimer\u2019s Day, the compassionate team at Meighen Health Centre stood united in solidarity and support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer\u2019s disease. Staff members proudly donned purple attire, the global color of Alzheimer\u2019s awareness, to honor those living with the condition, remember those we\u2019ve lost, and show unwavering support for ongoing research and care.
From nurses to caregivers, administrators to support staff \u2014 every corner of our community was lit with purple pride. This vibrant visual statement not only highlighted our commitment to dementia care but also helped ignite important conversations about brain health, memory, and the power of empathy.
\u201cWearing purple is a small gesture, but the message behind it is powerful,\u201d said one team member. \u201cIt shows our residents and their families that they are not alone \u2014 we\u2019re walking this journey with them.\u201d
At Meighen Health Centre, every day is dedicated to person-centered care, but on this special day, we paused to amplify the voices of those living with Alzheimer\u2019s. We reaffirm our mission to create a world that is more compassionate, understanding, and inclusive for those with cognitive challenges.
