The results are in! The Salvation Army’s iconic Christmas kettle campaign raised more than 1.8 million across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island thanks to the generous support of our donors and volunteers.

Nationally, the campaign raised more than $23.5 million this holiday season. Salvationist Magazine shared that the Canada and Bermuda territory well exceeded the $21.6-million goal and the amount raised the previous year.

As part of The Salvation Army’s commitment to our donors, the funds will go back into the communities they were raised in to support local ministry unit programs, which range from shelters and food banks to winter outreach and short-term housing. These services are unique to each region based on the needs of the people in the community.

“We are so thankful for the amount we raised from this years’ kettle campaign,” says Captain Jamie Locke, divisional director of public relations and development. “We can’t thank our donors and volunteers enough. Their support is what makes our programs possible.”

If you didn’t have the opportunity to contribute to our kettle campaign this year, but are still interested in making a donation to support your community, please visit our donation page.
