Christmas is fast approaching and the sounds of the season are in the air. An annual tradition, the Beary Merry Christmas Concert series is once again in full swing.

In Halifax, the 22nd annual concert featuring the Stadacona Band of the Royal Canadian Navy took place at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium on Monday. Joining the band was The Cantatrice Ensemble girls’ choir, along with Liz Rigney, emcee and music extraordinaire, to entertain the crowd of nearly 900 spectators with a variety of holiday tunes.  The event raised funds for The Salvation Army’s Christmas program for marginalized families, and collected nearly 600 stuffed animals and toys for children in need.

While Moncton and Halifax are finished with their Beary Merry shows, two concerts still remain.  Liverpool is hosting their concert on Dec. 13 at the Astor Theatre, and Sydney is hosting theirs on Dec. 4 at the Membertou Theatre.  Please contact the theatre to reserve your tickets today.
