There may be a chill in the air but there is no better time to lace up your sneakers and begin training for the Santa Shuffle Fun Run and Elf Walk.

Every year, Maritimers across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island run in support of the many individuals and families in need in their own community.

The Santa Shuffle is an annual tradition to kick off the Christmas season, offering a five-kilometer run, or a one-kilometer walk, all taking place on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at 10 a.m. This year’s event is being held in five locations across the Maritimes, including Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, Saint John, and Charlottetown.

Participants come to the event dressed in all sorts of festive attire, from Christmas trees, to elves, and even Santa himself! Pledges raised by runners stay in the community in which they were raised, with every dollar going a long way in making a difference in the lives of people struggling with food insecurity, homelessness, and addiction. If you are unable to attend, please consider pledging to a runner.

The early bird deadline closes October 28, however registrations will be accepted until the morning of the race. Visit santashuffle.ca today to register in your city or offer your support in pledges!
