Employees of Canada Revenue Agency’s Summerside Tax Centre have continued their support to The Salvation Army in their community.

The employee group once again hosted their annual food drive in support of Summerside Community and Family Services, doing what they could to help restock the shelves during the traditionally lean summer months for food banks. In addition to the food, the group also hosted a cake auction, raising a further $1,116.25, also donated to The Salvation Army’s efforts in Summerside.

The food and the funds will immediately be put to good use, helping to assist those in need in Prince Edward Island’s Prince County.

Marj Montgomery, Community and Family Services Coordinator in Summerside, said that the shelves at the food bank were already getting pretty bare in the early days of summer, and she thanked the Tax Centre employees for their continued support.
