We don’t do Christmas alone

In 2009, over 100,000 Maritimers turned to The Salvation Army for support, assistance and hope. That number continues to rise as a growing number of individuals struggle to make ends meet. Perhaps the biggest challenge is meeting the need at Christmas.

On a day-to-day basis, The Army manages a team of 300 staff and approximately 6,000 volunteers operating more than 90 community-based programs and services throughout the Maritimes.

Its through this vast network along with the invaluable logistical support of Canada’s Armed Forces that The Salvation Army is able to distribute food hampers and toys to thousands of children and families across the Maritimes.
