Volunteer with us to help people impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

Across Canada, volunteers are the driving force behind The Salvation Army’s ability to keep our food banks, shelters and feeding programs available for people who are struggling during the COVID-19 crisis.

If you’d like to learn more about volunteer roles, please let us know here and we will be in touch as opportunities related to COVID-19 become available in your area.

We appreciate your willingness to help in this time of crisis. Please know that response times may be slower than normal as we adjust to new and rapidly evolving service realities.

  • In support of our commitment to a healthy and safe workplace and community, The Salvation Army (TSA) has a vaccination requirement for volunteers in Canada. Volunteers will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of full vaccination, prior to their start date.

The requirement to be fully vaccinated is subject to provincial/territorial human rights legislation. If the volunteer is unable to vaccinate for a reason protected by the Human Rights Code, a request for accommodation can be requested and written proof satisfactory to TSA will be required.
