In Canada, one in three women will experience sexual or physical violence, and every six days a woman is killed by their intimate partner. These realities are heartbreaking and they demand action. You can help today, and your generosity will go twice as far. All donations made online at <\/strong>salvationarmy.ca\/KateBooth<\/strong><\/a> by March 20, 2026, will be matched by an anonymous donor, up to $30,000<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For more than 40 years, <\/strong>Kate Booth House<\/strong><\/a> and Esther\u2019s Place has provided safety, stability and a path forward for women and children fleeing violence and abuse. Kate Booth House is a short-term confidentially located transition house providing safe shelter, residential services and a 24-hour crisis line, to give support and advocacy to help women and children regain their self-esteem and rebuild their lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esther’s Place is a second stage program for women and children who require safe housing following their stay. Along with secure shelter, individuals receive trauma-informed care, legal and housing support, and compassionate guidance to help them move from crisis to independence.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
