It was in the middle of the night when Paul reached out to his sister for help.Paul subsequently entered a six week Treatment Program at Pacifica and went on to The Salvation Army Belkin House for the Personal Development Program. Through this program, Paul was able to re-establish meaningful family relationships and address other challenges.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tDental services also provided sorely needed partials which boosted his confidence because he got his smile back. As Paul settled into a new, healthy routine he found he was excited to get out of bed in the morning. It was on one such day that he remembered his dream of becoming a Gourmet Chef. He began studying food-safe certification and applied for the Culinary Arts Program headed by Alvin Chong, Belkin’s Food Services Manager. Upon his successful graduation of Professional Cook 1, Paul was referred to White Spot where he currently enjoys working as a line cook. Paul continues to pursue his culinary goals while giving back at Belkin House. “I feel safe at The Salvation Army.
