For the last number of years, The Salvation Army has honored May as Dignity Month. In Vancouver, The Salvation Army in partnership with local food truck, The Juice Truck, celebrated this occasion by giving hope and juice to over 500 Salvation Army Vancouver Harbour Light food line clients yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

The Salvation Army is excited to work with The Juice Truck in distributing custom mini juice blends – strawberry, banana, coconut nectar, coconut milk, coconut water and vanilla – to those in need as The Salvation Army Vancouver Harbour Light has seen a 40% decrease in produce donations, so this opportunity will assist in filling that gap.<\/p>\n

Shares Juice Truck owners, Zach Berman and Ryan Slater, “Gastown is a very diverse community with a diverse group of locals and so, it’s very important for us to be involved with local organizations and local residents. We’re excited to give back and this is a unique opportunity to raise awareness and draw attention to The Salvation Army\u2019s efforts across Canada in support of vulnerable individuals. Together, we all make Gastown the unique and exciting place that it is.”<\/p>\n

Each and every person has the fundamental right to dignity and The Salvation Army is excited to be working with local businesses such as, The Juice Truck, who believe in this very principle.
