The new Connection Point Church & Resource Centre officially opened in March 2020, located within the municipality of Langford, BC. A ribbon cutting ceremony, led by Majors Les and Cathy Burrows, and Majors Les and Tiffany Marshall, was well attended by public, media and local dignitaries. The Army has been active in Victoria, BC for over 100 years and our reputation for helping to feed, clothe and shelter our community’s most vulnerable, while helping others escape violence and addiction has been a recognized and vital service.

“Langford is one of the fastest growing cities in BC,” says Major Les Burrows. “Recognizing the need, we had to increase our footprint within the community, and Connection Point will be a significant resource and asset, and spiritual influence here on the West Shore for years to come.”

While there will be church and community programming with worship services and Sunday School, possible programming of bible studies, youth groups, and ladies and mens groups may also be offered. The Burrows have been reaching out in the west shore to learn how they could best serve the needs of the community. Initial considerations are of adult day programs, family services, singles wellness, moms and tots drop in, english as a second language, life skills counselling and coaching, and youth performing arts are some of the suggestions.

We are excited and inspired to watch the growth of Connection Point Church & Resource Centre as the community of Langford expands.
