Every year, TELUS’ financial team initiates a ‘Socks for SOX’ campaign during the annual SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002) certification process. Their goal is to raise enough funds to contribute atleast one pair of socks for every team member in the Finance Department so that while becoming “Socks Compliant” they also become, “SOX Compliant”.

The Socks for SOX campaign collects funds and donates to The Salvation Army to purchase socks for those in need in our community. In this campaign, a $2 donation will be deemed the equivalent of one pair of socks.

So, why socks? TELUS recognized the tremendous need for clean dry socks, and felt that this simple item is directly linkedin to the health and comfort of people and families in need.

Yesterday, TELUS distributed socks at The Salvation Army Harbour Light in midst of extreme weather conditions. We are grateful for the support of our community partners at TELUS, and their efforts to benefit people in our community.
