Sincere Thanks to the Shoebox for Shelter team as they made the project a reality. This past weekend, 107 shoebox donations were handed out at The Salvation Army Harbour Light Anchor Shelter. Students commented on how rewarding it was to see clients unwrapping the shoeboxes and digging into the treats right away!

A special thank you to all participating sponsors including Nesters Market, Safeway, Happy Water, 7-Eleven, SFU Bookstore, Rexall, Dollarama, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Fresh Direct Produce. All corporate and individual donations came to a grand total of $1064.00.

The Salvation Army is inspired by the generosity and creativity of the community and in particular, by young people who are engaged with what’s happening to our city’s most vulnerable and are making a difference by giving hope.

Thank you.
