Going green.

With much pride, we extend Congratulations to The Salvation Army Alberni Valley for winning the Green Award at the Alberni Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual Community Excellence Awards. The Salvation Army has served the community for more than 14 years in this community and has continued to share the importance of green initiatives such as, recycling through the sale of secondhand goods and recycling while keeping reusable items out of the landfill.

Esther Kaiser, Thrift Store Supervisor, receives the award that represents a local business that places the environment high on its daily to do list.  The Salvation Army Alberni Valley is conscious of the community and continues to take the lead in achieving environmental goals.
