Blazin’ Sally wins People’s Choice!
On Saturday, June 9th, Westsong Community Church participated in the 8th annual Chili Cook Off hosted by The Rotary Club of West Shore!
Westsong entered their chili, Blazin’ Sally, competing against over 15 other teams. The signature, Blazin’ Sally succeeded with top honours as the audience voted it 1st place for the coveted People’s Choice trophy! Westong also came in 2nd by receiving Best Showmanship – an award honouring teams that go above and beyond by providing true entertainment for all in attendance. This title was won because of the western theme they embraced, complete with complimentary decorations and details.
The Rotary Club of West Shore created this event to welcome the summer season and to raise money for community work being done. In addition to the many varieties of chilli presented, there was also live entertainment, bouncy castles and kids entertainment … truly a day of fun for the whole family!
