Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed a growing hunger crisis worldwide. One country hit hard is Costa Rica, and now The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda is helping to provide food to men, women, and children devastated by homelessness and poverty there.

“Our goal was to provide food support to those who are homeless and wandering the streets without receiving any kind of assistance,” says the project’s team leader at The Salvation Army in the Latin America North Territory. “But in the face of increasing demand, we needed more help.”

Your compassionate generosity helped serve nearly 13,500 meals, with volunteers and local Salvation Army personnel preparing and distributing at least 150 lunches each day.

Thanks to your support for The Salvation Army’s international development work, you help ensure that no one, both near and far, gets left behind.
