Thrift Store Partners with Local Soccer Club

Throughout the month of March, the Parkdale Thrift Store, located in downtown Toronto at 1447 Queen Street West, will host an in-store fundraiser to support the local youth soccer club.

Bloor Central Soccer Club (BCSC) is a group that is committed to offering high quality recreation programs for low income families on the west side of Toronto. Last summer 270 children (ranging from ages seven to 12) from 210 families participated in the soccer program. BCSC also coordinates an informal pick-up game three evenings a week giving teens an opportunity to enjoy the exercise.

The Parkdale Thrift Store is supportive of the BCSC and has sponsored the soccer teams for the past two seasons. The store will again sponsor them this summer and will also ask their guests to make a donation or round-up their bill to help support the club.
