This Christmas season, from coast to coast, The Salvation Army’s vital partnerships are participating in the spirit of giving. “The Salvation Army is thrilled to be working closely with its many partners who believe in The Salvation Army’s mission of service that restores dignity and hope to more than 1.7 million Canadians every year,” says Graham Moore, Territorial Secretary for Public Relations and Development for The Salvation Army in Canada.

The Salvation Army would like to acknowledge its many corporate supporters. Partnerships include, but are not limited to:
• National retail kettle partners: Loblaw Companies Limited, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Sobeys and Costco.
• CTV Toy Mountain: This campaign helps to raise tens of thousands of toys for kids.
• Invis Angels in the Night – Supplies provided by Angels in the Night, such as socks, gloves, pajamas for children, thermal shirts and sweatshirts, are delivered to Salvation Army shelters.
• The Beary Merry Christmas concert series: This annual holiday tradition in the Maritimes encourages patrons to donate a new toy for The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas assistance program. In Halifax alone, more than 1,200 stuffed animals and toys were donated.
• Build-A-Bear Workshops: Across Canada, Build-A-Bear Workshop teamed up with The Salvation Army for a Christmas toy drive campaign designed to encourage toy donations and raise funds.
• Empire Theatres: The public is invited to drop off new, unwrapped, toys at any Empire Theatre in Canada. Toys will be distributed to children in that community through The Salvation Army.
• Reddin Equipment: The family-run John Deere dealership in Charlottetown, PEI, donated $4,000 worth of John Deere toys to the Charlottetown Salvation Army for use in this year’s Christmas campaign.
• The Ottawa Professional Firefighters Association: This group of enthusiastic participants delivered more than 20,000 toys today to the Salvation Army Toy Depot in Ottawa.
• Coast Hotels & Resorts: For every room booked over the Christmas season at participating hotels in B.C. and Alberta, Coast Hotels & Resorts will donate $5 to The Salvation Army.

Together we can make a difference!
