This is a permanent, part time position based on 20 hours per week.  The work schedule is determined in consultation with your supervisor and may vary according to requirements of responsibility.  Extended shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break.   The operational hours of this facility are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Shift:  Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

  • Responsible for the organization, maintenance and general cleanliness of the Warehouse
  • Receive and sort, load and unload, pack and store donations
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as a pump cart and forklift as required
  • Assist with routine pickups and deliveries of donated goods
  • Comply with all safety procedures and warehouse worker guidelines
  • Perform other position related duties as required.
  • Participate as an active and responsible team member in all work groups
  • Represent the organization in a professional and engaging manner


  • Completed Secondary School
  • Minimum of six (6) months of prior related experience with warehouse processing or goods distribution and knowledge of lifting guidelines are an asset
  • Able to lift/move 50 lbs, frequent twisting, lifting, bending, crouching, reaching overhead,
  • Certification in fork lift operation, or willingness to acquire certification
  • Valid G Class driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and disciplined
  • Provide an original copy of a Background Check that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion.
  • Support for and an understanding of the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army in Canada.
