Description
The Wetaskiwin Salvation Army Thrift Store is looking for a casual sales clerk who is available to work days, evenings and Saturdays. The position acts as a relief position for employees that are on holiday, ill or injured or in cases where an event is planned. Shifts are 8 hours long but there is not a guarantee of hours. Flexible availability is needed.
DAYS and HOURS of work:
48 hours bi weekly. Monday to Saturday. Shifts are 8 hours long. Expected to be able to work weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays as well as on short notice.
Responsibilities
- Sorting, pricing and displaying donations
- operating cash register
- process money and interact payments
- internal customer service
- general cleaning
- working in a team setting

Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Completion of Public School (alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable)
- Experience in sales
Experience:
- Up to three months of prior related experience including, experience with warehouse processing or goods distribution and knowledge of lifting guideline are an asset.
- Team worker
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Customer friendly/people skills.
- Flexible in hours.
- Able to efficiently run cash register and Interac machine.
- Able to lift 40 pounds.
- Able to tolerate dust.
- Able to work together with others in respectful manner.
