Responsibilities

  • Work with local organizations to ensure donations are collected in a timely manner
  • Open and sort mail daily
  • Create receipts for donations received
  • Create thank you letters to distribute to donors
  • Responsible for Christmas letter appeal (Hope for All Seasons)
  • Responsible for submitting press releases to various media outlets
  • Responsible for scheduling pick-ups of donations
  • Represent The Salvation Army in a professional and positive manner
  • Maintain confidentiality of all private and sensitive information regarding The Salvation Army, its members and clients
  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education
  • Good organizational/administrative skills and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting

HOURS: 35 hours per week
